A Vision for 2020. Can you See it?

The New Year is just about to shine its’ light again, giving us the opportunity to start fresh with a clean slate. If you run a business, or are part of a leadership team in a business, now is the time to dig deeply into this past year about what has worked, and what has not.

Which bumps and bruises could have been avoided? Which paths did not lead in the direction you had hoped? What worked with real intention and which by accident? And what things were a complete success that can hopefully be repeated? Now is the time to take out that screen cleaner that you look at but don’t use and actually clean the dirty built-up film. It’s time to get a good nights’ sleep, a strong cup of coffee and get grounded in the truth of what needs to occur next. It’s time to put in a new bulb and prepare to see things as they are, in order to redesign things as you want them to be.

Now is the time to create clarity around a 2020 vision. Do you have one yet?

I have been anxiously waiting for 2020 to arrive since the moment my 3rd son was gifted 2020 as his graduation year. I have been consumed with the thought of it actually…2020. Could there be a better graduation year? It’s the perfect year for everything really. To me, the nature of the numbers made it feel obvious that this would be the year when everything became crystal clear. 2020. Haven’t you been waiting for that kind of clarity? I mean, let’s face it, things are pretty murky. I like to blame most of my blurred vision on migraines and contacts, but even on the days I choose my glasses, things aren’t as clear as I would like.

Let’s pretend for a moment that January 2020 is how I have been envisioning it. Clarity. Like having 20/20 vision! But wait, let’s first make sure we understand the literal meaning behind this vision.

Having 20/20 vision does not necessarily mean you have perfect vision. 20/20 vision only indicates the sharpness or clarity of vision at a distance.

I love this!

If you don’t have a clear vision for January 2020, let’s try this on for size: Imagine being able to look into the distance and distinctly see what lies ahead of you. Imagine, without squinting, the sight is crystal clear with sharpness, depth, and color, leaving no question at all about the path that lies ahead. No squinting!

I am gifting you this vision for the year ahead! All you have to do is create exactly what you want by looking into the distance and 2020 will manage the rest.

In order to achieve, we must first believe. I’m a believer! Can I count you in too?
